Track Council & Planning Updates across NSW

Every day, 128 councils across New South Wales release hundreds of new documents — planning proposals, tenders, policy updates, and land-use changes that quietly shape our cities and regions. Hidden within them are powerful opportunities: new infrastructure projects, rezoning proposals, community consultations, and funding rounds that can spark the next major consultancy win.

But finding them is time-consuming and fragmented. That’s why we built RQST — an AI-powered platform that tracks and curates planning and development updates from every LGA in NSW. Our system scans, sorts, and delivers relevant information directly to your inbox, helping planners, consultants, and engineers stay informed without the manual search.

RQST’s mission is simple

Why We Built RQST

After decades working in planning and development, we knew there had to be a better way to keep up with the torrent of council activity.

When co-founder Mick Barrett was at Elton Consulting, he created a daily internal newsletter summarising exhibition documents across NSW. Within just two weeks, his team identified and secured three consulting projects they would otherwise have missed — proving the power of consistent access to council information.

That success sparked an idea: what if we could automate the process for every professional in the sector?

RQST was born — a digital platform that combines data aggregation, AI curation, and human insight to make vital local government information clear, timely, and actionable. Whether you’re a planner, architect, engineer, environmental consultant, or policy advisor, RQST helps you find opportunities, engage early, and make better decisions.
